I'm a mixed fan of Flickr. I've a pro account but like social networks and their closed in interfaces, I've never completely taken to it for ease of use. Essentially, it hasn't fully lived up to it's hype and gives a feeling of the turmoil that Yahoo (it's owner) seems to be going through - i.e. a major lack of integration into Yahoo's other offerings (with the exception of it's excellent photo-mapping system).
However, I've always found it very awkward to find out how to keep an eye on my friends photos without having to subscribe to everyone own personal 'photostream' (or RSS). So, it was with a very pleasant surprise that I found there was an option to just subscribe to a link off of everyone's photos all in one post (it's just jumbles them all together in one chronological order). I now have a few less links in my Google Reader account to worry about - this is the way technology should work!

lol - there's a new feature where you can get a daily digest of all their new photos too. Works well.
